Episode 002: Title Fight!

Episode 002: Title Fight
Two songs with the same title enter, but only one can emerge victorious! Pat and Gary judge six pairs of classics (and a few obscurities) that happen to share a name.
From September 1, 2011
00:00:30Cheap Trick stage collapse. "Cheap Trick must have some strong enemies."
00:02:20 Rock Solid's opening song is ditty called Song Away by Hockey
00:04:40 Any Way You Want It:
Journey vs. The Dave Clark Five

Pat votes Journey. Gary thinks hates America because he thinks the DC5 were the USAs answer to the British Invasion. His theory falls flat when we learn that they were from a little town called London, England. This earns Gary a

Fun Fact: The DC5 version is the last song performed by the Ramones.
Kiss also did a version of the song.
Winner: Journey
00:10:25 Best of Both Worlds:
Van Halen vs. Miley Cyrus

Pat: "There's no better song to get drunk and hit a woman to than [VH's BoBW]."
Greg hates Van Hagar and Pat's kids love HM, so:
Winner: Miley Cyrus

Time After Time
Cyndi Lauper vs. Ozzy Osborne
CL's version chokes up Pat (ed. note: pussy). Gary notes that CL's version is so cool that Miles Davis covered it.

Day After Day
Badfinger vs. The Pretenders
Pat shows Gary his badfinger. Gary is agnast! Badfinger's album was first produced by George Harrison, but he got bored and turned over duties to Todd Rundgren.
As Crissy Hines is Pat's second favorite voice in rock, he votes for The Pretenders. Greg lets Pat have the win.
Winner: The Pretenders
00:25:20
Do It Again:
Steely Dan vs. The Kinks
Despite his lover for The Kinks, Pat votes for the perfect (Gary says "soulless") production of the Dan.
Winner: Steely Dan

Crazy
Patsy Kline vs. Seal
Before discussion could begin, Aerosmith, Gnarles Barkley and Peter Wolf rushed the ring! For Gary, Patsy Kline reminds him of all the faux rockabily girls he used to work with, so he's voting for
Winner: Seal.
00:36:40 Gary Recommends: The new Wilco single "I Might" (ed. note: great choice, Gary) Pat says he "might not."
00:37:08 Pat recommends: 30th Anniversary of REO Speedwagon's "Hi Fidelity"
00:38:20 Gary Recommends: Reissue of International Pop Overthrow by Material Issue
